Save the dates
Six to eight months before for a UK wedding, and nine to twelve months for a wedding abroad, so guests can book time off and travel.
Invitations
Eight to twelve weeks before the wedding, or around three months for a wedding abroad.
The RSVP deadline
Four to six weeks before the day. Venues and caterers usually want final numbers two to three weeks before.
Sending them online
An online invitation arrives the moment you press send, so you can send it a little later than paper, but guests still need time to plan.
